First few days in Cabarete...

Kiteclub Kiteclub

Hey out there,

Yeah, you`re right, I should`ve informed you a bit quicker about what`s going on here in Cabarete, but it took me a while to calm down.

I arrived already three days ago and the weather really sucks hard. Tons of rain and worst wind ever, but anyway I had a short session on my 14qm kite on Wednesday. Today the wind was about 20kt and really shifty, scattered rain and the water choppy like hell. I really must get used to kiteboarding again after nearly 3 month without any tiny session at all, but it was possible to do some kiteloops and raileys, although wakestyle sucks really hard in these conditions. Tomorrow will be pretty much the same, but the waves will grow up to 10ft.

Tomorrow in the morning I have to move into a new apartment together with Adrian, a Californian guy from the capital of pot-smokin`, Humboldt. The Apartment`s really small but cheap, too. We`ll have to pay only 7US$ per night.

It wasn`t possible yet to take some pictures, because it was almost cloudy, but as soon as it will be sunny AND windy, you`ll be fed with pictures.

So long,

Raphael
