This board is SICK

What is Cabarete supposed to be in March? Sunny, warm, windy - well, maybe not constant winds, but at least windy. Reality`s totally different. The last three days it has been raining now. We`ve been hanging around at Kiteclub, playing games and becoming more and more mad. Hopefully today will be better. It`s windy though partially cloudy, but no rain.

I broke my board while my last good session more than one week ago. Wind was 20-24kt and I was pulling one loop after another. The landing of one big loop of about 4m was pretty hard and I landed plain one the water. My board was smashed into two pieces exactly at my heel. I was lucky not to break my ancle, but anyway: destroying a new board, that`s only one month old, sucks. The biggest problem now is to get a cheap new board, because shipping from Germany costs 245€ and even from the US more than 100US$. Here in Cabarete there`s only one shop that sells nice boards, but they are` nt cheap anyway. I also tried some boards friends borrowed me, a 09 North Mallory and a 08 Len10 Lunacy. Both are nice boards, totally different and absolutely not what I expected them to be.

Nightlife here in Cabarete is pretty much the same every week. Monday`s karaoke-night at the  VoyVoy and Wednesday live-band, but every Wednesday the same band.

We all must be very strong now and pray for some wind. Even the wind-dance doesn`t F***** work ;)
